Position Title: Material Handler
Department: Materials
Location: Shepherdsville
Position Directly Reports To: Materials Supervisor
Position Indirectly Reports To: Materials Manager
POSITION GOAL: Personnel who are interested in working in a manufacturing facility in our materials department. Applicants must have shipping and receiving experience, inventory control experience, and or forklift driving experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Be familiar with and capable of carrying out all company materials procedures, including but not limited to receiving, storing, issuing and reordering of materials.
- Operate equipment required in the moving of parts and materials (forklift, crane, assisted lifting devices).
- Usage of RF scanners.
- Lift an average of 50 lbs.
- Receive, pick and deliver materials to production for assembly.
- Report inventory material discrepancies.
- Maintain and update locaters for material delivery.
- Ability to operate and communicate with team members in order to focus on deadlines and producing quality products.
- Accurately package parts for shipping.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
